When do you think the linux umpc-turning-smartphone will be available in Canada?

Rogers and Fido both use GSM.

  • thewindowskid:

    thank you

  • rml695:

The Sect iPhone Clone is a dual-SIM equipped GSM phone, unlocked, and same with the SciPhone, I do believe. In order to have a world audience, you HAVE to use GSM, even though it’s inferior (especially in regards to data) to CDMA, from what I’ve heard.

  • thewindowskid:

are hiphone.cect and sciphones unlocked GSM phones?

  • llanogrande21:

  • lolitadoll646:

    unlocked phones are great.
I think in the future they will be widely used in the US.

  • partylikapianist:

unlocked phones are the reason I’m trying to convince my family to go with AT&T. GSM really will come in handy later on

Watching your cellphone videos intently, I work beside a Vodaphone store and they do us favours sometimes, a friend let me use the stores n97 to get a feel for it as I am in the market for a smartphone as well. I like the tactile keyboard on it and the os. touch screen leaves something to be desired though.
