Question by Moony3005231: Telus phone: texting not working, message “general problems”?
So I have a Telus phone, just bought it Sept 2009 (so 9 months ago). The last 2 – 3 days i havent been able to text. It’s not the end of the world, but my bf is in another country, and it’s the only way I can communicate with him as he’s having trouble calling Canada, and my cell (I do not have another house phone) does not do international calls. Anyway, the message keeps coming up, when I send a text, “message did not send: general problems.”

Does anyone else have this? Did it ever happen to you? How long did it take to get repaired?

It’s either a network problem or the settings on your account need to be updated. Call 611 from your cell and have a tech rep troubleshoot your account. This usually cures the problem right away.
